Singing in the largest Czech hall meant a lot for the Slovak Slavica. As well as the fact that the widows of Ivana Gottová accepted her invitation (48), Kateřina Žbirková (57) and Miluše Patejdlová (67). “Although their Karel, Meky and Vašo are already performing in heaven, they supported me from the audience. It was a huge boost for me. I really appreciate it,” she told the newspaper Aha! Gombitova. „I believe that if their men were alive, they would be standing next to me on the stage and singing with me.” she stated.
Marika also invited all three widows to a private party after the concert. “This is the first time all four of us met together like this. And it was so touching that at times we even shed some tears,” Gombit did not hesitate to admit.
He is preparing new songs
Now Marika is at home in Bratislava and, apart from daily exercise, she is working full-time again. “I will sing two new songs Phantom of the Heart and Stúpanie, which were premiered at the O2 arena, so that they can be released as a single in the spring,” she confided.
