With the acquisition of the Ohio-based brick manufacturer Summitville Tiles, Inc., wienerberger is expanding its activities in North America and is taking another important step in its global value-creating growth strategy. The traditional US company, founded in 1912, specializes in the production of brick slips for prefabricated facade systems for renovation in the residential and commercial sectors. A market that will grow by around 10% annually over the next five years. Summitville Tiles, Inc.’s product portfolio underscores the shift toward greater sustainability in the construction industry.
