West Indies will play in T20 World Cup under the leadership of Rovman Powell. The World Cup co-hosts, along with the United States, announced the 15-man squad today (Friday).

The team includes pacer Shamar Joseph, who brought a historic victory in Tests on Australian soil. However, in the last BPL, Kyle Myers, one of the artists who brought the title to Fortune Barisal by showing glimpses of bat and ball, played 34 T20 games for West Indies.

The Caribbean have lined up the World Cup squad with experienced Simron Hetmyer, Jason Holder and Andre Russell. But there is no name of Sunil Narine who is in great rhythm in IPL.

Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Uganda are joined by two-time champions West Indies in Group ‘C’ at the World Cup. The hosts will begin their World Cup mission with a match against Papua New Guinea on June 2 in Guyana.
