Tourists hide from the sun in the hotel and only come out to bathe in the afternoon. The ocean water in the afternoon is still warm so it is not cold.

On April 30 alone, the entire Ba Ria – Vung Tau province welcomed more than 172 thousand visitors. There are about 59,841 visitors, including 10,136 international visitors. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 188 billion VND. Accommodation revenue alone is about 130,277 billion VND. April 30 was also the third consecutive day that the province’s room occupancy rate reached 85-95%.

Hot weather all day somewhat limits outdoor activities. Avoiding the sun, from dawn, many people go to the beach to swim, walk, and do sports. Parks and beaches are crowded in the early morning. Shops and cafes are also bustling.

Many people swim in the shade of a building near the beach to avoid the sun.

However, from about 10 o’clock onwards, tourists return to the accommodation facility to avoid the sun and rest. Beaches, check-in points, and roads in tourist centers are therefore also sparsely populated. By the end of the afternoon, the sun gradually subsides, which is also the time for an explosion of beachgoers.

According to Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center, on the first holiday (April 27), the number of tourists was not too large (about 34 thousand people swimming). But on April 28 and 29, the number of visitors increased sharply. Cumulatively in the first 3 days of the holiday (from April 27-29), Vung Tau City welcomed and served about 197 thousand visitors.

Many families let their children play and dig sand on the beach.

Although there are many visitors, the Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center coordinates with units and wards to ensure safety for tourists when swimming at tourist resorts and public beaches, such as: Install 350m of buoy line (front beach area), post flags and signs, delineate swirling ponds and dangerous currents at beaches; Water emergency personnel are always on duty to rescue, guide and protect the safety of tourists. At the same time, forces regularly patrol, inspect, and stay on duty to protect security and safety for residents and tourists.
