Vaccination in private clinics should be canceled. Because one of the main reasons why so many children remain unvaccinated today is the high cost of vaccination in private clinics. The question people are asking shows just that. The parent is interested: why is it so expensive in the private clinic, but free in the public polyclinic?
Publika.az reports that pediatrician Ayten Ismayilzade said these words. Speaking about the reasons for the widespread spread of measles in Azerbaijan, the doctor expressed his displeasure with the vaccination carried out in private clinics.
“There is a difference in quality here. We are convinced when we hear opinions that confirm this. For example, someone says, “Well, private is private, and the vaccine will be of good quality!”, another says, “What quality can a free one be?” etc.
Taking advantage of the increased interest in them, private clinics also entered the vaccination business. But the result is not good for our society. Because a parent who does not have the money to get vaccinated in a private clinic does not have the confidence to get vaccinated in a public clinic. Therefore, he decides that it is better not to get vaccinated. And those children are getting measles one by one today. Measles, as you know, is not a comfortable disease at all.”
According to the pediatrician, in general, the vaccine prevents diseases that can cause disability and death:
“Don’t forget this! Vaccinations are the same both in private and in the state. THE SAME! Vaccination in private clinics causes confusion among people in our country. If even one child dies due to this confusion, or dozens of children are infected with risky diseases, then this issue should be looked into. Who will look after it? DOCTOR, The Ministry of Health… Of course, who looks after what among themselves. But we see how what is looked after. The polyclinic doctor’s collar is left in the hands of the citizen. There are parents who did not register their child in the polyclinic. They do examinations and vaccinations in a private clinic. I tell every newborn who comes to me : after two months, vaccinations start, and before that you are registered at the polyclinic. I tell you to do your vaccinations at the polyclinic. They ask, private or state? And I say, of course, the polyclinic.”
Urging parents to be careful and sensitive, the doctor finally noted:
“Now, after my opinion, few views will increase. Because doctors in private clinics receive interest from vaccinations. I am not talking about the profit of the clinic. But I am not interested in anyone’s opinion. I am interested in the health of the children. Not only the rich family, but also the poor family. If we leave the choice to people , we will lose in many things, we need to change the laws”.
