The rules for granting special scholarships to athletes and their coaches who have won the right to participate in the Olympic Games have been amended.
Publika.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the decision.
According to the decision, a special scholarship will be given to athletes and their coaches who have won the right to participate in the Paralympic Games.
Scholarships will be paid to athletes, their coaches, head coach and coaches of the national team who have won the right to participate in the Olympic and Paralympic Games only in cash.
For the Olympic Games: each athlete will be paid a stipend in the amount of 2 times the minimum wage, and his coach, the head coach of the national team will be paid a stipend in the amount of 1.5 times the minimum wage. Until now, 200 (two hundred) manats were paid to each athlete, 160 (one hundred and sixty) manats to his coach, and 100 (one hundred) manats to each of the head coach and team coach.
For the Paralympic Games: each athlete will be paid a stipend in the amount of 1 times the minimum wage, his coach, the head coach of the national team will be paid a stipend in the amount of 0.5 times the minimum wage.
