Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Ninh Thuan bridgehead, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked investors, contractors, and construction units for not being afraid of the sun or rain; overcoming many difficulties of epidemics, harsh weather, escalating prices… to soon complete 2 Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway projects and a section of Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway.
According to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, currently the entire North-South expressway has been put into operation for more than 1,000km, and the total expressway system across the country is more than 2,000km. With this momentum, we are determined to reach the 3,000km plan by 2025.

The Prime Minister emphasized that wherever transport infrastructure goes, it will contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of localities, contributing to closing geographical distances. When infrastructure develops, it will create new value for the country, people will benefit and have a better life.
Advising construction units, the Prime Minister always reminded the spirit of overcoming sun and rain, three shifts of four crews, eating and sleeping promptly, only working on the desk, not back.
Facing difficulties, units need to solve problems right at the construction site, must stick closely to reality to overcome challenges in capital and technology…
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Transport and relevant ministries to inspect and operate highways for traffic safety. Unfinished items need to continue to be removed and completed soon. Especially soon, invest in the tunnel on the left side of Vung Mountain to put it into operation soon.

Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway has completed 70km of roads, 35 bridges, 2 intersections, 69km of feeder roads, 2.25km of cross-mountain tunnels, along with equipment systems, ITS systems… inspected by the Council. The State Inspectorate on the acceptance of construction works approves the acceptance results.
Vietnam Road Administration agreed that Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (HHV) is the operation and maintenance management unit to ensure the project is put into safe and smooth operation.
Previously, on April 26, this expressway officially opened to traffic on the entire route. Cars can drive on the highway in the North – South direction and vice versa. Vehicles carrying toxic, flammable substances, explosive materials, tractors, motorbikes, mopeds… are not allowed to enter. Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is the last highway section connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Nha Trang.
Dien Chau – Bai Vot component project put into operation 30km
In the phasing phase, the project is invested with 4 lanes, 17m roadbed width. In the completed phase, the project is designed with a design speed of 100-120km/h, especially in Than Vu tunnel with a design speed of 80km/h.
The project is invested in the PPP method with a total investment capital of more than 11,157 billion VND. Of which, investor capital is more than VND 5,090 billion; State capital participation is more than 6,067 billion VND.
