On February 10, around 9:30 a.m., a military explosive exploded in the occupied town of Chartar in Artsakh, and Samir Aleskerov, who worked in a beekeeping farm, was injured. He was taken to the hospital, Baku media reports referring to the official police report.

We are dealing with information of exceptional importance. Accordingly, Baku’s assurance that the property of forcibly displaced Artsakh residents “is strictly protected and remains intact” is a fairy tale. No Samir Aleskerov has ever lived in the city of Chartar, he has never owned any property, land or other property, so it follows that he illegally took possession of the beehive left by an Armenian citizen.

Second, a “military explosive” was detonated. But it is not a mine, otherwise it would have been reported as such. Apparently, we are talking about a grenade. Who set a grenade trap for Samir Aleskorov in the beehive? Most likely one of his competitors. Those who passed through the Armenian villages liberated from the enemy after the first war saw Azerbaijani writings containing threats to each other on the houses of Armenians.

For example, the author of these lines read such an inscription on the wall of Suren Aleksanyan’s private house in Drmbon village, Martakert region. “Agil, do not suffer in vain, the house is mine.” Most likely, a similar kind of enmity arose between two robbers around the Chartar bee house, and the second one planted a grenade wire to kill Samir Aleskerov.

Apparently, the same handwriting is also used in the case of mine explosions. As a rule, Azerbaijani “shepherds” attack mines in occupied Armenian settlements. The last incident took place in Haykajur township of Martakert region. The phenomenon proves that even in the conditions of dictatorship, Baku does not fully control the situation, in the so-called “liberated territories” there is a fierce competition for possession of Armenian property. And the robbers are creating traps against each other in a frenzy in order to establish their “legal rights” in the given area.

How do mines, grenades, and other explosive devices end up in people’s hands? Since there are no civil authorities, no communities are organized in the territory covering about 12 thousand square kilometers, the military, special services, and police are in charge. Apparently, they compete with each other. And, of course, they provide the members of their group with means of “safeguarding the homeland”.

To justify the uncontrollability of the situation, Baku uses a propaganda trick to mislead the international community that “peaceful people are victims of mine terrorism in Armenia.” This is also used as a resource in negotiations. Baku’s information about the Chartar explosion dispels the Azerbaijani bogus narratives. It remains to deeply assess the phenomenon and form and apply a suitable discourse. First of all, the forcibly displaced 120,000 Artsakh citizens should be pursued so that an independent and impartial observation can be conducted to find out what is really happening in Stepanakert and other occupied settlements.
