Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu said that there is no possibility of sugar shortage in the market due to fire in S Alam factory or any other reason. I tell the businessmen, they should not try to exploit the crisis.
He said, I see in newspapers and magazines that there is an attempt to increase the price of sugar in one or two places, none of the sellers should do that. Because the price of sugar will not increase even in Millgate. The concerned producers of the country have promised this to the Ministry of Commerce.

He said these things at the opening ceremony of the second phase of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) product sale program on the occasion of Holy Ramadan on Thursday (March 7). Ahsanul Islam said, there are some opportunistic people who always want to make profit by using market management errors as an excuse. We are trying to control them.
On the other hand, the Minister of State for Commerce said that the distribution of TCB Digital Family Card will be started soon. Many family members have died, many have left the area – there are things like that. That’s why new TCB digital card is being updated. We have directed all MPs, DCs and other representatives to provide this list soon.
