JAKARTA – Minister of Finance (Minister of Finance) Sri Mulyani visited the Attorney General’s Office to submit a report on the results of research on problematic loans at the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI) from an integrated team.

The integrated team consists of LPEI, Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (Jamdatun), Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

“On this auspicious occasion this morning, we visited the Prosecutor’s Office and the Attorney General, Mr. Burhanudin, was very kind in accepting us to also convey the results of the examination from the integrated team, especially regarding problem loans which were indicated by fraud, namely an alleged criminal act committed by the debtor. ” he said during a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office, Jakarta, Monday (18/3/2024).

The State Treasurer said that the integrated team found four problem debtors with indications of fraud of up to IDR 2.5 trillion. Based on these findings, the Minister of Finance also encouraged LPEI to continue to innovate and make corrections together with an integrated team to continue cleaning up within LPEI and LPEI countries. “Today we are specifically reporting 4 debtors who are suspected of fraud with outstanding loans of IDR 2.5 trillion,” said the Minister of Finance.

Apart from that, the Minister of Finance also emphasized to LPEI’s directors and management to continue to improve their roles and responsibilities and to build good governance. “Zero tolerance towards violations of the conflict of interest corruption law and must carry out according to the mandate of the Constitution Number 2 of 2009,” he concluded.
