Vienna (OTS/SK) – The Court of Auditors has scrutinized the Austrian Business Agency (ABA), which was supposed to promote business relocations under the responsibility of ÖVP Economics Minister Kocher. SPÖ economics spokesman Christoph Matznetter summarizes the result as follows: “The ÖVP only sees austerity in Sunday speeches; from Monday to Friday the ÖVP burns tax money.” ****
The Court of Auditors criticizes “over-budgeting”, the lack of strategy, the lack of documentation, the lack of control, the unjustified use of external consultants, the excessive expenses for external consultants, payments to external consultants without proof of performance and much more.
Matznetter says: “The ABA is a reflection of the ÖVP politics. The others should save, the taxpayers have to pay – and the ÖVP spends the tax money with both hands. Economics Minister Kocher is fully responsible for these grievances.” (Conclusion) wf/bj
