Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump were among the international dignitaries who arrived in India for billionaire heir Anant Ambani’s lavish pre-wedding bash.

The three-day bash, which included performances by pop superstar Rihanna and magician David Blaine, drew around 1,200 guests from Silicon Valley, Bollywood and beyond, including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and actor Shah Rukh Khan.
Ambani is the youngest son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, whose fortune, according to Forbes, is estimated at $117 billion. The 28-year-old works as a director of the energy business that runs Reliance, the Indian conglomerate founded by his grandfather.
Although Ambani and his 29-year-old girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, are set to tie the knot in July, they spared no expense for a lavish pre-wedding bash. The guests were served 500 dishes prepared by about 100 chefs, reported Reuters, which got acquainted with a copy of the planning document provided to the guests.
Celebrations were held over the weekend in Jamnagar, in the western state of Gujarat, near Reliance’s main oil refinery.
The city airport, which normally handles fewer than 10 flights a day, reported an increase in activity. About 130 flights were reported from the airport on those days.
According to Reuters, the guests were provided with charter flights from New Delhi and Mumbai, as well as the services of hairdressers and make-up artists.
A new Hindu temple complex is being built especially for the wedding, which will later be open to the public.
Among the pre-wedding events, the Ambani family organized a dinner for more than 50,000 villagers.
