News of preparations for the legendary wedding of the son of the richest man in India, Mukesh Ambani, continues, as today marks the last Sunday of three days of luxurious evenings and parties that precede the wedding of Ambani’s youngest son, Anant, and the legendary Radhika Merchant, scheduled for next July.
A video clip of Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump spread gracefully and she was practicing a traditional Indian folk dance to perform while attending a lavish pre-wedding party hosted by the richest man in Asia on the occasion of his upcoming son’s marriage.
Ivanka joined others in performing the dance, known as dandiya, which involves twirling while striking colorful wooden sticks against each other in rhythmic dances. Also known as “garba”, this dance has its origins in the western Indian state of Gujarat, and is performed on religious and other special occasions.
A video clip posted on social media, to the tune of a traditional Gujarati song, showed Ivanka wearing an elegant white dress, smiling and laughing while participating in a folk dance. It was accompanied by the words: “Ivanka Trump’s daughter enjoying garba in India. Such a proud gesture,” accompanied by smiley face and Indian flag emojis.
Ivanka attended a series of glittering celebrations with her partner, Jared Kushner, and their daughter, Arabella Rose Kocher.
Pictures from Saturday night’s event showed Ivanka looking stunning in a shimmering silver and gold sari while Jared wore a traditional black Nehru jacket. Ivanka was one of a glittering group of guests who attended the three-day celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat, hosted by billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani for his son Anant, 28, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of a wealthy pharmaceutical tycoon, who are due to marry in July.
Other guests included Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, BlackRock co-founder Larry Fink, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. Guests enjoyed a performance by Diljit Dosanjh, one of India’s most popular singers and three of the country’s leading Bollywood actors; Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan.
