Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová, whose mandate will soon end and will be replaced by Peter Pellegrini, spent Saturday outside with her colleagues. She was planting trees in the so-called presidential forest, 6 thousand of them were planted. “This year too, my colleagues and colleagues from the president’s office stayed true to tradition and planted new trees,” wrote Čaputová on social networks. She explained that she was trying to compensate for the environmental impact caused by summer work trips.

“Today I planted a memorial tree in the castle park in Malacky, where a beautiful oak tree has been growing for 500 years. I hope that the planted trees will do at least as well as Pálffy’s memorial tree, which rightly became the tree of the year,” added Čaputová on Saturday. According to the picture, she and her colleagues, who also brought their children, roasted burritos, although the weather was visibly not kind.
