Tennis player Petra Kvitová (34) spiced up her pregnancy by visiting the Trojan Botanical Garden. The two-time Wimbledon champion planted a magnolia tree to open a new exhibit called Japanese Misty Forests.

Petra Kvitová was invited to Troja as part of the Roots of Personality project. The white flowers of the Japanese saffron are meant to symbolize Wimbledon, where all tennis players and tennis players wear white clothes.

“We have been arranging the placement for several years. It only clicked now that I’m on a break from tennis and expecting a baby,” smiled the native of Fulnek, who will soon have her first child. She is waiting for this with her husband and trainer Jiří Vaňek, whom she married last summer at the Oblík Resort.

Engagement at Wimbledon

And the truth is that Petra has a very personal relationship with Wimbledon. After all, it was there that Vaněk knelt before her to ask for her hand in marriage. “Wimbledon is very special to me and I said yes here,” Kvitová revealed to her fans on Instagram earlier.

At first, Jiří Vaněk was only Petra’s coach, and their work paths joined in 2016. They officially confirmed the relationship five years later, but speculations about it have been rife since 2020, when the coach slept over at Kvitová’s place.

“Last year, when he was getting a divorce and renovating his apartment, I helped him, but nothing more. Only this year…” said Petra three years ago, who will now exchange her work duties for taking care of a baby for some time.
