While pushing his luggage to leave the domestic terminal at Tan Son Nhat airport, the male passenger forgot his wallet containing nearly 300 million VND in assets on the trolley but luckily it was not lost.
On February 20, Mr. Phung Thanh Tu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, said that security forces at the airport had just returned valuable property to passengers who had forgotten it.
Specifically, at 8:45 a.m. on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vien, Bus Station Security and Order Team, Tan Son Nhat Aviation Security Center, while patrolling and monitoring the area, discovered a passenger’s wallet. Forgot on the cart.
Through inspection, inside contained 100 bills of 500,000 VND and 10,000 USD along with an iPad and a few used personal belongings. Total assets are estimated at about 300 million VND.
The Aviation Security Force has made a record of asset seizure, reviewing passenger information and abandoned assets.
After verifying that the customer’s reported information matched, Aviation Security contacted Mr. QHT (from Hanoi) to hand over and return the property according to the correct procedures.
Previously, on February 14, Tan Son Nhat airport aviation security also discovered a passenger’s bag left at the domestic terminal.
After checking the steps, there were no unusual signs. Inside there were 502 USD, 50,000 Won and nearly 15 million VND along with a number of documents bearing the name STKNg (residing in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province). After that, Ms. Ng. came to report the incident of forgetting property. Through inspection and verification, Aviation Security has fully handed over to passengers.
