Passengers heading from Amsterdam to Detroit experienced the most disgusting flight of their lives.
More specifically, while the plane was in the air, worms started falling on the passengers, which came from fish wrapped in newspaper, which someone had in their hand luggage and had spoiled.
Eventually the aircraft returned to Amsterdam.
“We apologize to customers on flight 133 AMS-DTW as their journey was interrupted due to an improperly packed cabin bag,” the airline told Sky News.

“My family and I were sitting in the row right after the worm seat. The lady sitting behind us told the flight attendants that worms were falling on her head,” a passenger who was reportedly on the flight wrote on Reddit.
Passengers sitting near the luggage with the worms were moved to other seats.
Another social media user wrote that passengers had to wait an extra day to board a new flight with another airline to reach their destination.
After the incident, the aircraft was grounded for special disinfection.
