The Mujer Emprende Fund, a government program attached to the Vice Presidency of the Republic, has benefited more than 15,883 Colombian entrepreneurs throughout the national territory through its different instruments, which seek to promote autonomy, economic empowerment and the dignity of women’s work in Colombia, through entrepreneurship, formalization and business strengthening, thus seeking to close gender gaps.

The Women’s Fund continues to invest in women, to date it has an investment of more than 81,000 million pesos, which is expected to continue increasing with the plans and projects for the year 2024 and carry out a territorial deployment that allows impact on rural women, women in vulnerable conditions, women belonging to towns, communities or ethnic groups, women with disabilities, etc., throughout the national territory.

“We are the only public policy instrument for the economic empowerment of women and the closing of gender gaps in Colombia, through which we work to make our country a nation of women entrepreneurs and businesswomen with scalable, profitable, replicable and “sustainable projects that generate quality employment, thus turning women into the center of the country’s productive transformation,” said María Fernanda Reyes, Executive Director of the Fondo Mujer Emprende.
