The number of illegal building settlement files reached by the competent authorities during the last ten months reached 5,773 applications, 2,143 of which were approved, and 88 percent of them related to residential projects, according to data presented by the Minister of National Territorial Preparation, Housing and Construction, in a session. The number of building permit application files in the rural area, which were studied before issuing the joint circular between the Ministry of National Territorial Preparation, Housing and Construction, reached 23,800 permit applications, of which 14,000 applications were approved each year.
After the publication of the periodical, the number of licensing application files that were studied increased to 36,590 applications, and 19,908 files were approved, with an approval rate of 54 percent.
