The process of determining the circles of circles that are not covered by construction documents, and enabling residents within these circles to obtain building permits without requiring the area of ​​one hectare, as long as the matter is related to separate buildings, is carried out by regional committees, under the supervision of the governors and the work, whose membership includes the various concerned departments.

Al-Mansouri stressed that among the measures taken to enable the residents of the rural world to obtain building permits is “not obligating them to submit unnecessary administrative documents, and being content with the minimum of them in forming files of applications for licenses related to individual construction, in line with the law related to simplifying administrative procedures and procedures, and taking into account “The economic and social situation of this population.”

The number of building permit application files in the rural area, which were studied before issuing the joint circular between the Ministry of National Territorial Preparation, Housing and Construction, reached 23,800 permit applications, of which 14,000 applications were approved each year.

After the publication of the periodical, the number of licensing application files that were studied increased to 36,590 applications, and 19,908 files were approved, with an approval rate of 54 percent.

79 percent of the files whose owners obtained building approval relate to plots of land of less than 5,000 square metres.

Regarding the fight against informal housing, within the framework of the National Program: “Cities Without Slums,” which the King launched in 2004, with the aim of addressing the living conditions of 270,000 families, Al Mansouri said, “The nature of this phenomenon has made the number of families rise to about 465,000 families, which has an impact on “It will negatively affect the pace of completion of the remainder of the program.”

Since the launch of the national program “Bedouin Slum Towns,” until the end of March 2024, the living conditions of 344,000 families, out of 465,000 families, have improved by 74 percent, indicating that 41,000 families have benefited from improving their living conditions during the current government mandate.
