Vienna (OTS) – At a meeting today of the Supervisory Board of AKH and MedUni Vienna, an agreement was reached to provide assistance to the AUVA. Service law and organizational law options for taking over the services were formulated.
At the meeting of the Supervisory Board, the most important body for the joint operational management of the General Hospital of Vienna and MedUni Vienna, chaired by Wolfgang Müller (Magistrate Directorate of the City of Vienna) and MedUni Vienna Rector Markus Müller, an agreement was reached to provide assistance to the AUVA in connection with the closure of the trauma center Vienna-Brigittenau (formerly Lorenz-Böhler).
The service law and organizational law options for taking over the services were jointly formulated at this meeting.

AKH Vienna – short profile
At the AKH Vienna University Hospital of the Vienna Health Association, around 60,000 patients receive inpatient care every year. The outpatient clinics and special outpatient clinics of the Vienna General Hospital are visited an additional 1.1 million times. Together with the doctors from MedUni Vienna, around 3,000 nurses, over 1,000 members of the medical, therapeutic and diagnostic health professions and many other employees from a wide range of professional groups are available to care for our patients.
