Leyla Hasanova was appointed “Youth Climate Champion” of COP29 in Azerbaijan.

Publika.az reports that Leyla Hasanova currently works as the head of the Secretariat in the Youth Organization of the Non-Aligned Movement.

He received his BA in International Studies from ADA University. Later, he received a master’s degree in public administration, and also participated in an academic exchange program on politics and international relations at Turkey’s Kadir Has University.

During her studies, she led research and analytical analysis on a number of topics such as climate change, sustainable development, renewable energy resources, youth, gender and climate resilience.

He also successfully completed the United Nations System Staff College and the organization’s Disaster Risk Reduction school (course). While studying there, he participated in courses such as “Thought Leadership Course – Synergizing Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation”, “Youth, Peace and Security” and “Digital4Sustainability Learning Path”.

Leyla Hasanova previously worked as a Program Coordinator at the Institute of Development and Diplomacy. Here he was responsible for managing executive education programs for corporate sectors and government agencies.
