Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by the head of the Kuwait-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Mohammad Haif Al-Muteiri.
From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Publika.az-According to the information provided, the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait, as well as the current situation in the region, were discussed at the meeting.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed various issues between the two countries, including economic, alternative energy, trade, agriculture, fishing, tourism, culture, education, etc. noted with satisfaction the existence of mutually beneficial cooperation agenda and perspectives. In particular, the importance of mutual support of the two countries within the framework of regional and international organizations, including the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) was emphasized.
It was pointed out that the year 2024 is also marked by the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. It was said that parliamentary diplomacy, including mutual visits of parliamentarians of the two countries, played a positive role in the development of relations between our countries.
It was emphasized that the prospects for the development of relations are rich, the political consultation mechanism and the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait are of great importance in order to effectively use the existing potential in this direction.
The other party was also informed in detail about the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation during the post-conflict period, and it was noted that there are potential opportunities for the participation of the Kuwaiti side in the process.
During the meeting, other regional issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
