From this level of assessment, the city can see and adjust accordingly”, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications gave an example.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Head of Electronic Information Department (Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City), said that currently, Vietnam has more than 78 million Internet users, more than 72 million social network users. “The flow of information has formed an economy based on attention. This has also led to a number of incidents related to chef Vo Quoc, Ngoc Trinh’s incident or most recently the statements of Nam Em”, Head of Electronic Information Department analyzed.

Regarding outstanding features, the software is capable of collecting data from a variety of popular social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and many others. This helps users have an overview, complete and multi-dimensional information about opinions, thoughts and trends online.

According to the Department of Information and Communications, social listening software is also integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) and learns to analyze data intelligently and effectively according to each topic group, industry, field and region. From information developments, the software also identifies the mood and emotions of the community with positive, neutral, and negative nuances.

The newly launched software will be used to help State management agencies proactively receive and better understand the opinions of people and businesses, collect reviews and comments on activities.

The software can help organizations manage and shape public opinion through tracking and analyzing trends, opinions and emotions on social networks. Especially the content and information developments of hostile and sabotaging subjects who take advantage of social networks and Internet platforms to incite and call for protests against the government and its guidelines and policies.
