Crédit Agricole obtained an attributable net profit of 1,903 million euros in the first three months of 2024, which represents an increase of 55.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, after which the French bank has advanced its expectation by one year underlying result.

Following the results of the first quarter of 2024, Crédit Agricole has anticipated results prospects for 2024, one year ahead of its strategic plan, with an underlying attributable net profit of more than €6 billion in 2024,” the entity has indicated.

“For the third time in a row, the financial ambitions of our medium-term plan should be achieved a year ahead of schedule, that is, at the end of 2024,” added the CEO of the French bank, Philippe Brassac.

Crédit Agricole’s turnover in the first quarter of 2024 reached 6,806 million euros, 11.2% above the revenue recorded a year earlier.

For its part, the item intended to cover the cost of credit risk increased to 400 million euros from 374 million in the first quarter of 2023.
