Three Dominican baseball players and a coach received suspensions of between two and six games after the incidents that occurred the day before in the match between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays.

In the eighth inning of the game the Dominican Jose SiriRays patrolman, was retired by his compatriot Abner UribeBrewers pitcher, at first base.

After the action, both players crossed paths closely and began to argue. Although a referee stood between them, Uribe punched Siri in the facewho tried to hit him back as players from both teams jumped from the benches to separate them.

This Wednesday, the Major Leagues applied a Uribe’s six-game suspension and Siri’s three-game suspensionin addition to fines for undisclosed amounts.

The competition also suspended Freddy Peralta, the Brewers’ Dominican starter, for five games for intentionally pitching against Siri in the sixth inning, an action for which he was ejected.

That ejection was angrily protested to the referees by Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy, for which he was also suspended for two games.

The Brewers won the game 8-2 in front of their American Family Field crowd.
