From 10:30 p.m. on March 5, many users of social networks Facebook, Tiktok, Thread, and Instagram around the world encountered unexpected problems when being logged out of their accounts for unknown reasons.
According to records from the incident tracking website Dowdetector, the number of error reports increased dramatically around 10 pm (Vietnam time). The highest number of bug reports was recorded in countries such as the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, India and Vietnam.
Many users said they cannot log back into their Facebook accounts after being logged out. Some others encountered an error message when trying to log in. Facebook has not yet made any official announcement about the cause of this problem.
This issue not only affects the Facebook app but also spreads to Messenger, causing great inconvenience and disrupting the user experience. As of now, most Facebook services are temporarily inaccessible.
It is still unclear the cause and time to fix this problem. Facebook is being encouraged to officially announce this issue and update users on the progress of the fix.
Not only Facebook, other social networks such as Tiktok, Thread, and Instagram also suffered a series of errors.
