Abid Burhanuddin, a citizen of Karachi, welcomes guests to Dubai Global Village in royal style by dressing up in royal attire.

In response to a question to Independent Urdu, Abid Burhan said that his love for Urdu and poetry was not enough for him:

This style has come naturally

This art has come to the elders who have pressed their feet

Abid said that he was very fond of poetry since childhood. He used to listen to poetry and memorize it in his mind like a poem by Mirza Ghalib:

My night of sorrow is excited in the darkness

There is a candle, the proof of the dawn is silent

These subjects come to mind from the unseen

Ghalib Sarir-e-Khama Naoy is Sarosh

He said that it was such deep Urdu that ‘I had to do a lot of research to understand it. After that, when I came to know its meaning, I fell in love with Urdu.

According to him, when he thought that in this age of Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and social media, Urdu literature is dying somewhere, then he had only one way left to come in this royal dress and show his Recite poetry in your own style to all the guests who come to Bindu Khan.

This is the focus of our life and we are very happy with our work because our work brings smiles to people’s faces. They laugh and when they laugh, believe me, we don’t count notes at night, we sleep counting their smiles.’

Abid Burhanuddin tries to welcome in Urdu, Arabic, Persian, English, Gujarati, Hindi all languages.

He said that ‘in the royal dress you see these diamonds and jewels, by wearing which we make our glory and this is our royal gown and this is our crown and by wearing it we become royal and all our guests. They are also royal.’

Abid Burhanuddin said that ‘when we welcome the guests in our Mughal style, believe me, they do not need to be guided, when they see us in this dress and our style, they are so happy that they stand up. They keep looking at us, now we keep saying whatever we are saying in Urdu, they say.
