Professor Dr. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Vice-Chancellor. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed said that BSMMU is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and will move forward in the future.
He said that during the current administration, there were no such additions in this university in the past. Many things have been implemented for the first time. For example, the general emergency department was introduced two decades after the establishment of the university. BSMMU has become a role model for development during the tenure of the present government.

In the meeting, the induction program together with 1 thousand 422 residents of the March session of the academic year 2023-24 has been fixed on March 9.
Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed said that the current administration of BSMMU is constantly working to deliver two successful cadaveric transplants, the latest medical services like liver transplant, the expansion of quality medical higher education, improved and increasing health care at the doorsteps of the people. At the same time, the people of Bangladesh are working to reduce the expenditure on health sector and to reduce the trend of sending patients abroad.
