“Sportico” sports portal has compiled a ranking of the highest paid athletes of 2023.
Publika.az reports that the list is headed by Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football player of “Al Nasr” with an income of 275 million dollars. The top three included golfer John Rahm (203 million) and world champion, member of “Inter Miami” Lionel Messi (130 million).
PSG striker Kilian Mbappe (125 million) and Brazilian Neymar (121 million) are also in the top ten among football players.
The basketball player who earned the most in the NBA last year was LeBron James, the forward of “Lakers” – 125.7 million dollars.
Rounding out the top ten was NFL star Patrick Mahomes. He earned $84.3 million in 2023.
Note that the rating consists of one hundred athletes. The list is dominated by basketball players – 40 people. The number of football players is 16, and the number of baseball players is 13.
