Carefree package for driving through Austrian toll booths

Vienna (OTS) – ASFINAG is now significantly expanding its digital service for customers. The tailor-made FLEX offer will now be significantly more attractive for all users. “Once registered, you can use FLEX to drive through our toll booths comfortably and without stopping. Now new: Customers only pay for single trips until they have reached the price of the multi-trip ticket for the respective route. In plain language, this means: All further journeys on these routes are then free,” says ASFINAG managing director Claudia Eder.

FLEX has become increasingly popular since its introduction, with ASFINAG already registering 1.3 million trips in 2023. We currently have 350,000 customer registrations. With this innovation, ASFINAG expects a further significant stimulus for new registrations. “With FLEX, customers enjoy great advantages. This allows us to process more vehicles and thus reduce waiting times and the associated delays. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved,” confirms managing director Eder.

Switching is also attractive for owners of multiple trips

ASFINAG also recommends switching to FLEX for customers who already have a multi-trip ticket. The reason: The annual extension of the multi-trip ticket is then no longer necessary. From a cost perspective, FLEX is definitely the best option because a higher price is never charged than the multi-trip ticket. In plain language this means: For the A 10 Tauernautobahn the maximum price is 81 euros, for the A 13 Brennerautobahn it is 66 euros, for the S 16 Arlberg expressway 69 euros, for the A 9 Pyhrnautobahn 71.50 euros. There is no multi-trip ticket for the A 11 Karawanken Tunnel, so the tariff for each individual trip is charged individually.

Easy activation in the ASFINAG toll shop

The innovative service can be found in the toll shop at shop.asfinag.at. For every license plate that is stored in the toll shop under “My Account”, “Digital Route Toll FLEX” can be activated with just a few clicks. The journeys are billed using the payment method stored in the toll shop, such as a credit card.
