The two sides discussed developments in the current regional situation, the war on the Gaza Strip, and efforts aimed at stopping the war, protecting civilians, releasing hostages and detainees, enhancing ways to provide humanitarian aid to the civilian population and alleviating their suffering, and advancing efforts to establish regional peace, security and stability.

The two sides discussed the ongoing preparations for the thirty-third Arab Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 16, the summit’s work program and the topics and issues scheduled to be included on the agenda of the meeting of Their Majesties, Excellencies and Highnesses, leaders of Arab countries.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Al-Tarifi, Head of the Arab and African Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Saeed Abdul Khaleq Saeed, Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector, and the delegation accompanying His Excellency the Minister.
