Al Bilad newspaper The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister-designate of the State of Libya receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs – 2024-05-06 20:22:38

His Excellency Mr. Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister-designate of the sisterly State of Libya, received in the capital, Tripoli, today, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of his visit to Libya as part of his tour in a number of Arab countries.

During the meeting, aspects of the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries were discussed, and ways to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields to serve mutual interests, where it was agreed to activate the role of the joint supreme ministerial committee between the two countries and advance the path of cooperation in vital areas of common interest.

Views were also exchanged regarding the developments in the current regional situation, and their repercussions on regional security and stability, most notably the war in the Gaza Strip, protecting the civilian population, and delivering humanitarian aid to them to alleviate their suffering.

His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed His Excellency Mr. Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba on the ongoing preparations for the thirty-third Arab Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 16, the summit’s work program and the topics and issues scheduled to be included on the agenda of the meeting of Their Majesties, Excellencies and Highnesses, leaders of Arab countries.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Eid, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Tunisia, Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Al-Tarifi, Head of the Arab and African Affairs Sector, and Ambassador Saeed Abdul Khaleq Saeed, Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
