Representative Jamil Mulla Hassan said that a meeting was recently held with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Wael Al-Mubarak, and the contractor concerned with the construction of the central market of Hamad Town, where the final drawings of the market were reviewed.
He pointed out to Al-Bilad that the previous delay in starting construction work for the market was due to the presence of an underground electrical cable, which required taking the necessary measures regarding it, which took some time.
He stated that final approval had been obtained to start the project.
Mulla Hassan pointed out that the meeting was fruitful and good, amid cooperation from the competent authorities, indicating that work on the project will begin within two days maximum, stressing that the project maps confirm that the market will be distinctive.
It is noteworthy that the Hamad Town Central Market, which will take on a traditional Bahraini character, will be constructed in Complex 1212 on an area of 12,300 square metres.
