The presidency of the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers has officially been transferred from the Federation of Saudi Chambers to the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the Board of Directors of the Federation of Gulf Chambers begins its twenty-third (23rd) session today, Saturday, headed by His Excellency the President of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas, and the President of the Federation The Saudi Chambers, Mr. Hassan bin Mujab Al-Huwaizi, became first vice-president, and the head of the Qatar Chamber, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, served as second vice-president.

Sheikh Faisal Al-Rawas stated on this occasion that there are projects that deserve to receive attention from the Union and the member chambers, considering that they contribute to achieving economic integration and pushing the Union to new horizons to achieve the desired goal of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Al-Rawas pointed out the importance of the current and future phase of the Union in the initiative to redouble efforts to advance the process of the Union that began in early 1979 AD, to enhance the role of the Union in line with the hopes placed on the Gulf Chambers of Commerce by leaders, peoples, and the Gulf private sector, and to achieve its vision of strengthening and accelerating the pace of economic integration between countries. In turn, the Board of Directors of the Federation of Gulf Chambers blessed the transfer of the presidency of the Federation from the Federation of Saudi Chambers to the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressing deep thanks and appreciation to the President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, A. Hassan Al-Huwaizi, for his achievements during the last session, which culminated in many important steps and successes that contributed to supporting the Union’s work process to serve the Gulf private sector.
