Previously, at about 10:45 p.m. on January 5, 2024, Nguyen Dinh Dong was riding a motorbike on Nguyen Sy Sach Street, Hung Hoa Commune, Vinh City and crashed into the motorbike of a 24-year-old woman driving. When the victim fell onto the street, Dong immediately controlled her and dragged her to a nearby cemetery to commit the depraved act.
At that time, Captain Nguyen Son Ha (Staff Team, Nam Dan District Police, Nghe An) was driving his wife to the hospital. Seeing two motorbikes dumped on the side of the road, Captain Ha stopped to check and discovered that Nguyen Dinh Dong was committing immoral acts with a girl. Being discovered, Dong ran away but was controlled by Captain Ha and passersby.

At the investigation agency, Dong confessed that he punched the victim in the face and strangled him to commit depraved acts, but was discovered by passersby and ran away.
