Only a week had passed since the actress had turned 39 and, together with her husband, José María Fernández “el Pirru”, they were heading to an amusement park, located south of Mexico City.
The actress, accompanied by her daughters María and Paula, aged nine and three, was also transporting six other minors, classmates and schoolmates of her little ones, around 2:30 p.m.
It is not clear if José Emilio, his youngest son, was also on board, since at that time he was only 8 months old.
According to what was reported by the former Attorney General’s Office (PDJDF), today the Attorney General’s Office of CDMX, Mariana died after suffering a myocardial infarction, caused by the impression she received from seeing an assailant approach her vehicle. with a revolver in his hand, while they were at the corner of Prado Sur and Montes Urales, in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood.
The version that circulated at that time was that the man had no intention of robbing the actress’ Voyager van, but rather he intended to steal the Mercedes Benz that was behind them. However, the impression of seeing the weapon and considering that the objective was to assault her car was what produced the emotional impact on Mariana.
After suffering a heart attack, her husband took Levy to the nearest hospital.
The assailant, along with three men with whom he worked in complicity, were arrested around 7:30 p.m. that same day.
The Levy family gathers to remember the actress
In this context, yesterday Monday – during the actress’s death anniversary – her brother Pato and her two youngest children, Paula and José Emilio, 22 and 19 years old, respectively, gathered to remember her.
Pato told “Come Joy” that it was so difficult for his mother (Talina Fernández) to live without Mariana, as he confided that 18 years had to pass before she decided to scatter her ashes, which she kept on the table next to her. from his bed.
In Paula’s case, she said that, no matter where she goes, she always sets up an altar dedicated to the memory of her mother, where she places some meaningful objects that remind her of her.
“I always have her very present, there in my room I have her little altar, with her bracelets, a little clay angel, I have my own little place“, revealed.
She also highlighted that she wears pearls that her mother passed down to her: “My mother left me these pearls, they are super cute, I love wearing them because, in some way, they make me feel strong, like she hugs me.”
José Emilio, nostalgic, said that -unfortunately- he has no memories of her, since he was only a newborn when she left.
“I would love for her to stay alive, I feel like things would be very different, I feel like we would be very happy together, I would like to have memories of her, I would like to know what her voice is like, I miss her very much, it was a very painful loss for me,” Indian.
