MADRID, (Portaltic/EP). – WhatsApp is working on a new feature aimed at suggesting contacts from the device’s calendar registered in the application with whom communication has not previously been established, which will be displayed in the Chats list, as verified in the latest beta for Android.

The instant messaging platform currently has an invitation system for those users who do not have a WhatsApp account, since it brings them together at the bottom of the Contacts tab. Users who already have the application and who are saved in the address book appear just before.

WhatsApp is now working on a function that suggests starting a conversation with contacts from the terminal’s phonebook who have a WhatsApp account and which will be included in the Chats tab – which until now only shows communications already started -, just as has been able to check WABetaInfo in the latest beta update of WhatsApp for Android 2.24.7.23.

Available through the Google Play Store for testing, it is a function that makes it easier to start new conversations “without altering the existing chat order”, as shared by this portal. This means that these contacts are placed below the chats already started.

WABetaInfo has confirmed that this is a feature currently under development and that it will be available in a future update of the messaging application.
