The meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place on February 28-29 in Berlin, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced. The meeting will be held according to the Munich agreement reached at the tripartite meeting headed by German Chancellor Scholz. What will Ararat Mirzoyan and the activity of France and Jeyhun Bayramov, who supports Armenia, discuss in the background, if we take into account the fact that the same Bayramov announced today at the meeting with journalists that the statements of Germany’s agreements cause problems.
And its leader Aliyev also stated that “even though Armenia is trying to throw itself into someone’s arms”, obviously referring to France, “it must understand that the only way is to accept all conditions of Azerbaijan”. what will be discussed in Berlin, and to what extent can these discussions be balanced, without which there can be no real peace process? The most important precondition for peace is balance, either directly between the conflicting parties, or in the absence of it, the substantive balance that will be ensured by the involvement of intermediary countries.
From that point of view, the lack of balance in both cases is obvious, which at least raises the question of what German Chancellor Scholz can do with his mediation, if it is obvious that the United States has abandoned an active mediation effort in practice, for objective and subjective reasons, is a special tactic. to adopt France, again for obvious reasons, Russia is in a completely different position, Turkey has its own problems and goals, Britain is trying to look at everything “from above”, and even before Munich, Iran expressed its “disagreement” with the prospect of “strengthening extra-regional actors under the pretext of regulation” :
