Vienna (OTS) – “The ÖGK’s forecast of reaching a “black zero” from 2025 on the basis of stable economic development is a positive signal for the stability and sustainability of our health system. This development is particularly noteworthy given the challenges such as the high inflation rate and the increasing frequency in the private practice sector. The additional funds from the financial equalization negotiations in particular have contributed to the ÖGK being able to continue to achieve its goals. Investments in the expansion of office-based care – the creation of 100 new health insurance offices through the Plus 100 initiative – and further digitization steps and telemedicine are just a few examples of a significant improvement in health care for all Austrians in the future,” says Moritz Mitterer, Chairman the employer curia at the ÖGK general meeting and federal managing director of the economic association on the positive developments.
