“Qarabag” player Marko Veshovic talked about their defeat of “Braga” in the playoff stage of the European League (first game – 4:2, return game – 2:3) and they were called to the 1/8 finals.
Publika.az reports that the 32-year-old defender told reporters after the return match in Baku:
“What can I feel? We are happy, satisfied. We have achieved a historic result. Today we were ready to die for this success. We qualified for the next round. This is very important for us. We showed our character. We played at a high level against a strong opponent.”
He emphasized that he was satisfied with his game.
“I am satisfied with myself today. I helped my team. I think all the players played well. All players showed 100 percent strength and heart. It was an emotional match. Everyone probably saw it. I think the fans are happy and satisfied today.”
Veshovic said about his potential opponents in the 1/8 finals: “I don’t favor any opponent. We are just happy and want to enjoy this moment.”
