Minister Cameron met with his counterpart Dmytro Kuleba and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine in Kiev, where he welcomed the $61 billion aid package just approved by the US for Ukraine.
Hungary opposes the NATO Secretary General’s $107 billion proposal
Earlier this week, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg presented the idea of military aid of $107 billion over five years to Ukraine, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto revealed, according to the station. RT on May 2.
He added that the above proposal of Secretary General Stoltenberg is still being discussed by member countries.
Minister Szijjarto emphasized that Budapest in the upcoming negotiations will oppose the “crazy” initiative mentioned above and that his country has no plans to participate in arming or training soldiers for Kiev.
According to Minister Szijjarto, a five-year plan means NATO “expects the Russia-Ukraine conflict to continue during this period”.
