MEXICO CITY (apro).– Argentine journalist Juan Pedro Aleart began his program “De 12 a 14”, on the eltresTV channel, with a complaint of sexual abuse committed against him and his brothers, allegedly by his father and uncle. .
Aleart told his story for almost 27 minutes: “You know me, I have been working in the media for 18 years. “I have told many stories and this is the first time that I am going to tell mine, my own story, my own life story,” Aleart began.
“Last year I reported my father for domestic violence. My father has been violent in all its forms: physically, psychologically and emotionally. “He has terrorized all the members of my family, including me,” he explained.
“My father, in addition to being violent, sexually abused my sister from the age of 3 onwards, being HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. “My father abused his daughter, his own daughter,” he denounced.
The presenter stated that in 2023 he filed the complaint together with his younger sister, since she had various health problems derived from this situation. “Fortunately he did not infect her, but I am a witness to her panic attacks, deep anxiety attacks, insomnia, hair loss – her hair was falling out -, loss of body weight”; in addition to the fact that the young woman tried to take her own life. on several occasions.

Aleart explained that he had to insist to his sister to file the complaint: “I insisted to her ad nauseam. I have argued, in fact, for him to file a criminal complaint.” After filing the complaint, a psychological report was presented and it detailed that he was a witness, since – as he explained – the father had abused his sister in front of him when they were children.
“They made me and my brother believe that my sister was exaggerated, that she was crazy,” he explained. “My mother has been both a victim of all this and an accomplice, you can imagine,” she added.
In addition to the alleged abuse of the father and the alleged negligence and complicity of the mother, Aleart denounced that an uncle – who was like a father to him – took advantage of the vulnerability of him and his brother, whom he allegedly sexually abused since they were 6 years and older.
“I reported him at the end of 2022. For me, making the report was very difficult. I encouraged myself to make it, being a public figure, but I did it.” Aleart explained that the process plunged him into depression and an anguish crisis, but thanks to the fact that he received – and continues to receive – therapy, in addition to having the love and friendship of a group of people, he has been able to “stay in foot”.
According to Aleart, his father received notification of the criminal complaint three weeks before he exposed the case on television; Once he was informed, the man took his own life.
“And it is my sister who I want to talk to now. I want to tell you, Sofi, that the horror movie is over. That the monster decided to leave forever and to never hurt you again, to harm you,” she said. “What remains now is for you to build your life. The life that you fought so hard for and that you deserve so much, with freedom. You are free. Let’s fly, Sofi, let’s fly.”
According to the presenter, he decided to share his family’s story to help other people who have experienced similar situations. Aleart addressed the men who, like him, have been victims of this type of abuse: “I know what it feels like: it is degrading, it is shameful. I know that many have not told their wives, their children, their their friends, their psychologists,” he said. “I want to tell you that the only way to heal is to put words to it, to talk about it, to denounce it.”
