Of all places, in front of a new record setting – more than 100 spectators watched the hit between SPG muki Ebensee and Apotheke Bösel Tulln – the inimitable success of the “Mukis” is broken.
Jonas Promberger started with a win against Thomas Grininger. Michael Trink lost the duel with Martin Heimberger. Then young star Benjamin Girlinger had a positive game against Patrick Skerbinz. Trink suffered a narrow 2:3 defeat against Grininger. On top of that, Promberger’s match against Junior Skerbinz also went wrong. This seemed to be an impending defeat. However, Girlinger gave the large audience hope once again with phenomenal rallies and a 2-0 lead in the hit against Tulln’s No. 1, Heimberger.
But the Lower Austrian turned the game around and made it 4:2 for the guests. Trink still scored the expected point against Skerbinz, but the subsequent defeats of Promberger and Girlinger meant the bitter final score of 3:6 from the home team’s point of view. This means that Tulln take the lead in the table by one point. The joy of the 6-2 away win in Pottenbrunn the day before was short-lived. There are now two away games and one home game remaining. If the standings in the table remain at this point, the Ebenseers will face relegation against the second-to-last team from above in order to realize their dream of promotion.
