JAKARTA – Presidential candidate serial number 01, Anies Baswedan said that the Indonesian people want a sense of justice in this country. According to him, a sense of justice can be reflected in fair and honest democratic practices.

Anies also touched on the unfair implementation of the 2024 elections. He said democratic practices such as elections must be corrected.

“Everyone here has witnessed recently how unfair democratic practices have occurred on a massive scale. This must be corrected and requires joint struggle,” said Anies in his telephone remarks at the Demos Festival discussion entitled “Omon-omon Opposition” in the Central Jakarta area, Saturday (9/3/2024).

For this reason, Anies appreciated and thanked the participants who attended the forum. According to him, the participants had become part of saving a better democracy.

“Choosing to ensure that Indonesia in the future, is not an Indonesia whose political practices prioritize a small group of giants, but prioritizes the principle of justice,” said Anies.

“So I thank you for choosing to move and we realize that this is not a small struggle, this is a big struggle, but a big struggle doesn’t mean it’s hard,” concluded Anies.

Previously at the same event, presidential candidate number 03, Ganjar Pranowo, said that PDIP was pushing for an academic draft of the DPR questionnaire to investigate irregularities in the 2024 elections. In fact, Ganjar said, his party was pushing for faction members to support the DPR questionnaire.

He feels that the political space can reveal irregularities in the 2024 presidential election, one of which is through the constitutional right that the DPR has, namely a questionnaire.

“Of course the DPR can use the political space, in this case using its constitutional right called the right to inquiry,” said Ganjar.

Nevertheless, Ganjar predicts that the dynamics of the DPR RI questionnaire will be interesting. This was seen at the Plenary Session opening the DPR RI session on Tuesday (5/3/2024).

“At the opening of the trial period there were interruptions from several factions, which in my opinion was quite a good dynamic,” said Ganjar.
