The US Senate has approved the final vote on the bill that includes $60 billion aid to Ukraine. The decision was adopted with the ratio of 66 “for” and 33 “against” votes. This was reported by the Reuters agency.

In the Senate controlled by Democrats, the final vote on this document may take place as early as February 14.

The bill envisages additional budget allocations of more than $95.34 billion, of which $60.06 billion is proposed to be directed to aid to Ukraine, $14.1 billion to aid to Israel, $4.83 billion to US partners in the Indo-Pacific region, including to Taiwan. The package also plans to provide $9 billion in humanitarian aid to civilians in various conflict zones, including the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Ukraine.

Republicans have been demanding for months that the bill also include measures related to strengthening border control.

If the document is approved by the Senate, it will be submitted to the House of Representatives of the US Congress, where Republicans are in the majority. House Speaker Mike Johnson said the bill is “not passable” because it does not include spending to tighten controls on the US southern border.
