On April 20, the next meeting of the Economic Council was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Economic Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, and tasks were given to revise the state budget.

It was reported that in the agenda of the meeting, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s instructions to the government regarding the revision (straightening) of the state budget of 2023, taking into account the current positive results of the national economy, the macroeconomic situation, the performance indicators of the state budget revenues exceeding the forecast for the first quarter of the current year, including the Medium-term Expenditure Framework and the overview and forecasts of the state budgets for 2024 and the next three years, the financial guarantee for the implementation of the I State Program on the Great Return to the territories freed from occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and other issues were widely discussed.
At the meeting, the report of Finance Minister Samir Sharifov and the opinions and proposals of Council members were heard.
In the end, additional amendments to the state budget of 2023 were prepared and submitted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
