MADINAH – The city of Medina Al Munawaroh has a lot of history of struggle Nabi Muhammad SAW with his Friends. One of them is the Museum of Civilization of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which can be visited by pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims from various countries, including Indonesia.
This museum holds many relics of the Prophet Muhammad, ranging from replicas of the house of the Prophet and his companions, the Prophet’s family tree, cooking tools, food storage made from camel skin and date palm fronds to weapons of war packaged in advanced technology.
Asep Ridwan, a museum officer from Indonesia, explained that this project was built at the behest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He said that this project was first launched by a Syech named Nasir Azzahroni.
“He has been writing works that are the content of this museum since 17 years ago. And this museum is divided into various buildings, which are displayed through informative encyclopedias, as well as miniature replicas of the cities of Mecca and Medina during the time of the Prophet,” he said, Wednesday (24/4/2024).
Asep said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s government’s desire to display a museum with advanced technology was a new way to make it easier to convey the struggle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW to pilgrims.
“This is a very good consideration because now technology is increasingly advanced and people are very interested in multimedia like that. So it makes it easier for us to convey the Prophet’s message in an interesting way to visitors,” he said.
Asep said that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was paying full attention to the work on this project. So that the process involves many experts in their respective fields.
Apart from that, the involvement of experts is needed to ensure that every item left by the Prophet Muhammad is in accordance with the conditions at that time.
“We have included every expert related to multimedia in this project, including those of us who display media magic box “That, we display the Prophet’s items digitally, and we are also assisted by archaeologists to conclude these items,” he said.
