By hosting facilities like parcel tracking, bill payment and e-commerce facilities, this service point will revolutionize accessibility and efficiency in rural areas of Bangladesh.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury highlighted the importance of Digital Center ‘initiative’ to move Bangladesh towards a digital inclusive society and said, ‘Digital Center is bringing government services to the doorsteps of grassroots people, making necessary services easily accessible.’
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak in his speech emphasized on building a digital inclusive society. He said, ‘Smart Service Point is an innovative initiative that aims to use technology to improve the accessibility and efficiency of every citizen in postal services.’
The UNDP delegation also visited Maharajpur Union Digital Centre. During the visit to the digital center, the beneficiaries highlighted their various services.
