Valery Petrakov, the former striker of “Torpedo” and the USSR national team, whom modern fans know from his work as a coach in a number of teams of the Russian Premier League, faced exactly this unpleasant situation in the mid-1980s. Moreover, there was a possibility that the story would end with a more serious outcome for him. Petrakov could be arrested.
“I came back from the training camp – he was not alone,” the coach said in an interview with SE.
– I shot him. Strong. The membrane was removed.
– What did he do?
– He ran away… (Lights a cigarette) My wife filed a police report on me. There was panic in the club: “What are you doing? They will arrest! Go, negotiate.” They could have easily arrested me.”
Petrakov never imagined that his wife would act like this: “Before the incident, we lived together for four years and our daughter was born. “My wife refused to divorce, hoping that I would forgive her.”
Head coach of “Torpedo” Valentin Ivanov even received a call from the police that there is a complaint about him. “He called me: ‘What’s wrong?'” Petrakov recalls.
Bombardier’s divorce took a long time. “It took six months. In the end, I left him with a suitcase,” said Petrakov.
