Mr. Bui Van Khanh, father of football players Bui Tien Dung – Bui Tien Dung, passed away on March 1 due to illness and age. Many colleagues and fans sent their condolences to the family.

Relatives of Bui Tien Dung and Bui Tien Dung confirmed that Mr. Bui Van Khanh passed away on the afternoon of March 1, 2024 after a long struggle with illness. The two brothers will temporarily leave the club to return to mourn their father in their hometown in Bao village, Phuc Thinh commune, Ngoc Lac district, Thanh Hoa.
During his lifetime, Mr. Bui Van Khanh was a football enthusiast and wholeheartedly supported his two children in pursuing professional football careers.
Currently, Bui Tien Dung and Bui Tien Dung are both on the payroll of the Hanoi Police Club. However, Bui Tien Dung has just moved to HAGL on loan in phase 2 of V-League 2023/2024 to look for playing opportunities. This 27-year-old goalkeeper started in round 11, making a major contribution to helping HAGL hold Quang Nam to a 0-0 draw at Pleiku. This is also the first match that Bui Tien Dung started in the V-League after 1 year of sitting on the bench.
According to schedule, HAGL will be a guest of Thanh Hoa in round 12 of the V-League at 6:00 p.m. on March 2. Thus, Bui Tien Dung originally went to Thanh Hoa with the Mountain City football team, but he most likely will not play and return to his hometown to mourn his father.

Meanwhile, Hanoi Police Club welcomes Hong Linh Ha Tinh at home at 7:15 p.m. on March 3. Bui Tien Dung will miss this match.
On their personal pages, brothers Bui Tien Dung and Bui Tien Dung both changed their avatars to a black and white lotus flower, a symbol of a family in mourning. Both received deep condolences from colleagues and fans.
